Funding for VIC primary producers impacted by January 2026 bushfires

Overview

Grants to assist Victorian primary producers impacted by the January 2026 bushfires to pay for clean-up and reinstatement costs for primary production enterprises, including safety inspections, equipment hire/purchase, and debris and livestock removal.

Funding is available in two tiers (initial up-front Tier 1 payment and a subsequent Tier 2 payment) up to a total of $75,000.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a primary producer
  • derive at least 50% of your gross income from primary production in an average year
  • have an Australian business number (ABN), and have held that ABN at the time of the natural disaster
  • have a primary production enterprise located in an eligible location (located in the defined disaster area for the eligible disaster) and have suffered direct damage as a result of the eligible disaster
  • intend to re-establish the primary production enterprise in the same community, region or sector
  • and have been engaged in the primary production enterprise when affected by the eligible disaster

  • Mount Alexander
  • Murrindindi
  • Pyrenees
  • Strathbogie
  • Towong
  • Wellington
  • Wodonga
  • Yarra Ranges
