Subsidised training and accreditation programs for QLD tourism and event businesses

Overview

The Tourism Business Capability Subsidy QLD provides subsidies for eligible Queensland tourism and event businesses to access targeted training and accreditation programs.

Supported programs focus on areas including sustainability, ecotourism, trade distribution, cultural understanding, tourism quality, accessible tourism, marinas, zoos and aquariums, and caravan or holiday parks.

Eligibility Criteria

Businesses must primarily operate in the tourism and events industry in Queensland, or be a Queensland Local Government Authority with a tourism operation.

They must be registered on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), employ fewer than 200 full-time equivalent employees, have an established operating base in Queensland, hold an Australian business number (ABN), and be registered for goods and services tax (GST).

The program is for eligible sole traders and micro, small and medium-sized tourism and event businesses in Queensland.
