Grants to install Community Batteries

This grant opportunity provides funding to deliver community batteries in eligible locations to support lower electricity bills and emissions, store excess solar energy and reduce pressure on the electricity grid.

Funding is available per eligible location and is calculated per kilowatt hour of battery storage capacity.

This opportunity supports organisations to deliver community batteries in eligible locations listed in the grant opportunity guidelines.

Distributed Network Service Providers (DNSPs) and other organisations are identified as who this is for.

Only one community battery can be installed in each location under this grant opportunity.

Applicants can apply for funding to install a community battery in more than one location but must submit a separate application for each location.
