Grants to improve safety and accessibility of remote airstrips
Overview
The Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program provides grants to improve the safety and accessibility of aerodromes in remote and very remote areas of Australia, supporting year-round all-weather access and improved delivery of essential goods and services.
Grants support enhancements that improve safety for aircraft, operators and passengers and meet operational requirements of aeromedical and similar services.
Eligibility Criteria
Owners and operators of aerodromes in remote or very remote areas of Australia.
Maximum grant amount is $3,000,000.
Grant funding proportions:
- up to 50% of eligible project costs
- where the applicant and a third party are both contributing to eligible project costs the grant will be up to 33.3% of eligible project costs
- where the applicant meets the Guidelines definition as an Indigenous Owned and/or Operated Aerodrome the grant will be up to 100% of eligible project cost
