Funding for business to strengthen Australia's defence industry

Grants to small to medium Australian enterprises (and Defence Industry Associations for the Skilling stream) to build sovereign defence industry capability through capital investment, skills development, export support and security improvements across four streams: Sovereign Industrial Priorities, Skilling, Exports and Security.

Your project must be completed by 2028-03-31, be undertaken in Australia, include eligible activities, have the minimum eligible expenditure as outlined in section 5.1 of the grant opportunity guidelines for the chosen stream, and have a clear link to the grant opportunity objective/s and outcomes.

For the Skilling stream, projects must also be aimed at increasing Defence related technical skills capacity or capability (or for a DIA, within an SME), and be delivered by a registered training organisation, a tertiary education provider (University or TAFE), a professional training provider, an appropriately qualified employee in your business or an original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

You may partner with one or more other organisations that also meet the eligibility criteria; the lead organisation must fill out the application form and, if successful, sign the grant agreement and be responsible for group compliance.
