Funding for events held during the non-peak tourism season in regional Tasmania
Provides one-off grants of up to $20,000 to support events being held in regional Tasmania outside of the peak tourism season.
The program aims to increase winter and shoulder-season events, boost visitor numbers and local community engagement, and increase event expertise in regional Tasmania.
Events must be working with Events Tasmania and have secured significant independent funding sources to be eligible.
Event organisers holding an event in regional Tasmania.
To be eligible, your event must:
- be held outside Greater Hobart
- be held outside of the peak tourism season (winter and shoulder periods are a priority)
- deliver substantial benefits to regional Tasmania
- attract mass local community attendance, at least 5000 intrastate visitors or at least 800 interstate visitors
- have secured significant independent funding sources
Events must be working with Events Tasmania to develop or further develop their event to be eligible for this grant.
