Funding for running organisations across NSW

The Run My Way Grant Program 2026/27 provides funding to NSW running organisations for organised running-related projects that create safer, more inclusive and welcoming environments.

Projects must support improved safety perceptions, participation and retention for women, girls and gender-diverse people in running, and be completed by 31 December 2027.

Applicants must include a valid Incorporation Number and/or active Australian Business Number (ABN), be a legally recognised entity, and have an established operational presence in NSW, such as program delivery, members or events.

Applicants must declare that, if successful, they will provide Public Liability Insurance with a minimum $5 million cover.

Eligible legal entities include an incorporated association registered in NSW or another Australian jurisdiction, a company registered with ASIC, a not-for-profit organisation including a registered charity, or a sole trader operating a running-related business with an ABN.

The applicant’s primary purpose must include delivery of organised running activities, such as community run clubs, structured group training or coaching programs, inclusive or social running programs, running events or competitions, or athletics clubs with a distance running focus.

Sole traders may apply where the proposed project primarily delivers community participation outcomes in NSW and is not solely for commercial gain.

Applicants must provide evidence of active and ongoing operations, which may include a website, social media or event listings; participation data; affiliation with recognised sporting bodies; or governance documents.

Eligible projects must be delivered in NSW, completed by 31 December 2027, and demonstrate a clear contribution to improving perceptions of safety for women, girls and gender-diverse runners, including in public spaces.
