Funding for trade exposed Safeguard facilities to reduce emissions

This grant opportunity (Powering the Regions Fund – Safeguard Transformation Stream Round 1) provides funding to trade-exposed facilities covered by the Safeguard Mechanism to reduce scope 1 emissions and help meet Australia’s emissions reduction targets.

Grants range from AUD 500,000 to AUD 50,000,000 and can cover up to 50% of eligible project expenditure.

Owners or operators of a trade-exposed Safeguard Mechanism facility that is not a new or expanded coal or gas production facility.
