Travel and accommodation contributions for TAS apprentices and trainees
Overview
Contributions to assist Tasmanian apprentices and trainees with travel and accommodation costs when they are required to travel (within Tasmania or interstate) to attend training or assessment with their Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an apprentice or trainee must:
- have an active registered training contract as prescribed by the Training and Workforce Development Act 2013
- be a Tasmanian resident
- be undertaking an entry level qualification required for the apprentice or trainee’s occupational outcome
- be required to travel to attend training and/or assessment as scheduled in their training plan
Allowances are only available to apprentices and trainees who are on a training contract registered in Tasmania.
