Funding for new clean energy projects in NSW

The Clean Technology Innovation grant supports NSW businesses to pilot and demonstrate lab-proven clean technologies and accelerate their commercial readiness.

Funding can support activities including technology development, testing infrastructure, prototyping, product verification, demonstration and deployment, front-end engineering design, and technical feasibility studies.

To be eligible, applicants must have an Australian business number (ABN); hold or obtain all relevant insurances; be undertaking a project in NSW; be the legal and beneficial owner of, or have all necessary rights to use, any intellectual property necessary to carry out the project; and be an eligible organisation.

The grant is for projects that pilot and demonstrate lab-proven clean technologies.

The eligibility checker states that laboratory-scale proven technology has achieved successful results in a controlled scientific setting and is ready for trials in commercial applications.

It also refers to projects seeking to commercially test and demonstrate technology to progress along Technology Readiness Index/Commercial Readiness Index scales of TRL 6-9 and CRI below 4.
