Grants to build public fast EV charging stations at dealerships and EV repairers
The DRIVEN Charger Grant Stream provides funding to build new public fast electric vehicle charging stations at automotive dealership or EV repairer premises.
It supports charging infrastructure installation in metropolitan, regional and journey enablement areas, with projects required to be completed by 31 March 2029.
Applicants must have an Australian business number (ABN), have an account with an Australian financial institution, and be an entity incorporated in Australia.
Applicants must have an eligible project and eligible expenditure.
Projects must be completed by 31 March 2029 and must support the preparation, construction and installation of charging stations at automotive dealership and EV repairer premises in metro, regional and journey enablement areas identified in the EVCI Mapping Tool.
Projects must meet the Minimum Operating Standards for government-funded charging stations and minimum project delivery requirements, include at least one Combined Charging System (CCS) Type 2 plug for each charging bay, and include a minimum of 25 charging bays across the application.
Charging stations must be installed at a dealership or EV repairer premises, including directly adjacent land or land across a road where the dealership or EV repairer has the necessary right or consent to install the stations.
Eligible expenditure must be directly related to delivering charging stations at an eligible site.
