Funding for TAS private practices to employ a Nurse Practitioner
This program provides Tasmanian private practices with funding to help meet salary-related costs of employing Nurse Practitioners.
Funding is available for part-time or full-time positions and can support more than one position, up to 2.0 full-time equivalent positions per practice.
Applicants must be owners and/or operators of an existing private healthcare practice, or a practice that will be operational within Tasmania within 6 months of the application closing date.
They must operate within a physical, bricks-and-mortar private practice or a healthcare service operating from an established, or soon to be established, practice location, such as a General Practice, Specialist Medical Practice or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.
Applicants must provide a current Australian business number (ABN), demonstrate industry-accepted capability and infrastructure necessary to support Nurse Practitioner practice, demonstrate the ability to maintain ongoing compliance with all relevant Commonwealth and Tasmanian legislation, regulations and professional requirements, and demonstrate capacity to sustain the proposed Nurse Practitioner positions beyond the 2-year grant period.
