Grants to boost participation of girls and women in STEM and entrepreneurship
Competitive grants to grow and upscale existing projects that increase girls' and women's participation in STEM and entrepreneurship, with a focus on achieving lasting systemic and cultural change and requiring project evaluation.
To be eligible applicants must:
- have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- be one of the following entity types: an entity incorporated in Australia
- a publicly funded research organisation (PFRO) or publicly funded research agency (PFRA) as defined in the guidelines
- a government or non-government vocational education and training (VET) provider or TAFE institution as defined in the guidelines
- or an incorporated not-for-profit organisation
The project must be a scale up or extension of an existing project (which may be completed or ongoing) and must have an ongoing or completed evaluation demonstrating its track record against WISE objectives.
Projects must:
- reduce and/or mitigate systemic and cultural barriers to participation in STEM education, careers, innovation and entrepreneurship by girls and women
- address the multiplier effect of intersectional barriers
- include project evaluation that will track progress during the WISE Round 4 project
- have at least $500,000 (excl
GST) in eligible expenditure; include a COVID-19 contingency plan that does not involve increasing the grant amount requested.
Joint applications are permitted (single grant agreement to the lead applicant).
Multiple applications from one ABN are permitted.
Applications must include evidence from the board (or CEO/equivalent) that the project is supported and can be completed and that costs not covered by the grant can be met.
