Low interest loans for disaster affected NSW small businesses
The Natural Disaster Loan for Small Business (NSW) provides low interest concessional loans to small businesses directly affected by declared natural disasters.
Loans of up to $130,000 are available for up to 12 years (first two years interest and repayment free) to support working capital, return to normal trading and to replace or repair damage not covered by insurance.
To be eligible you must:
- be a small business operator directly affected by a declared natural disaster
- have fewer than 20 full-time (or equivalent) employees
- have assets that have been significantly damaged as a direct result of the declared natural disaster
- have suffered a significant loss of income as a result of direct damage from the declared natural disaster
- hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN) that was active at the time of the declared natural disaster
- demonstrate the long-term viability of your business and the ability to repay the loan
- and provide security for the loan
Applications may be made after the declaration of an eligible disaster.
Applications must be lodged by the relevant close date listed for the disaster event and your Local Government Area (LGA) on the Declarations page; applicants should check the Declarations page to confirm their LGA has been declared.
