Funding for carbon capture, utilisation and removal technologies.
Grants to support research, development and demonstration pilot or demonstration projects for novel and emerging CO2 capture, utilisation and removal technologies to reduce Australia’s emissions, with grants offered up to $10 million.
You can apply if you:
- have an Australian business number (ABN)
- are registered for the Goods and Services Tax (GST)
- and are one of the following entities: an entity incorporated in Australia
- an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust (where the trustee's trading activities meet the specified conditions)
- an Australian state/territory Government agency or body
- or a corporate Commonwealth entity
You must complete your project by 2031-03-31.
Your project must:
- be located in Australia
- aim to reduce, utilise and/or remove greenhouse gas emissions
- involve research, development and demonstration of novel or emerging CO2 capture, utilisation or removal technologies
- not solely be a feasibility or engineering study
- have at least $2,000,000 in eligible expenditure
- and not be a project funded under Round 1 of the Program
You can partner with one or more organisations that also meet the eligibility criteria.
The lead organisation must fill out the application form and, if awarded, will sign the grant agreement and be responsible for ensuring the group follows the grant agreement rules.
