Develop new diagnoses and treatment options for congenital heart disease

Overview

This Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) grant provides research funding to develop new diagnoses and treatment options for congenital heart disease (CHD).

It supports projects aligned to preventing neurodevelopmental and mental health complications, understanding prenatal and postnatal impacts on children with CHD and their families, and exploring the role of exercise in reducing CHD impacts.

Eligibility Criteria

Who is this for?

Ideally, researchers with projects targeting:

  • preventing neurodevelopmental and mental health complications
  • understanding the impact of prenatal and postnatal factors affecting the health of children born with CHD and their families
  • exploring the role of exercise and increased activity in reducing the impact of CHD

Ideally projects align with the National Strategic Action Plan for Childhood Heart Disease.

You must ensure new research is complementary to, and does not duplicate work in the specified MRFF Accelerated Research investments.

Projects must be completed by 30 June 2024.
