GO6633: Industry Growth Program: Commercialisation and Growth
Participants in the Industry Growth Program Advisory Service may apply for Commonwealth grant funding to support specific commercialisation and/or growth projects.
The commercialisation and growth stages may include developing marketplace strategies for entry to market, accelerating growth and scaling up into national and international markets.
SME’s can apply for grants of $100,000 to $5,000,000 to support commercialisation and growth.
To be eligible applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN), be non-income-tax-exempt, be registered for GST, and be either an Australian incorporated company, a co-operative, or an incorporated trustee applying on behalf of a trust (practically captured here as incorporated companies or trusts).
Applicants (including related bodies corporate) must have combined annual turnover of less than $20 million for each of the three financial years prior to lodgement, must have received a report through the Industry Growth Program Advisory Service before applying, must own or have access to any IP required for the project and own or have the exclusive right to commercialise any IP generated, must be able to provide evidence of ability to fund at least their share of eligible project expenditure (e.g. funding strategy and bank statement or loan agreement) and must provide an accountant declaration confirming ability to fund the project.
Projects must have at least $200,000 in eligible expenditure, be within a 12 to 24 month project period, and the grant amount will cover up to 50% of eligible expenditure.
