Funding for Northern Territory event organisers
The Northern Territory Business Events Support Fund (NTBESF) provides financial assistance to organisers of qualified corporate meetings, conferences, conventions, exhibitions and incentives to encourage them to stage business events in the Northern Territory.
Assistance is offered at a rate of AUD$100 per delegate (minimum), with additional incentives available at certain times of the year, and must be spent with Northern Territory businesses in line with buy-local principles.
To be eligible, you must:
- not yet have confirmed the Northern Territory as the destination of the event
- be considering other Australian or international destinations
- have 80% of delegates travelling from outside the NT
- have previously held this event (i.e. this is not a new event)
Events must demonstrate historical data and a shortlist of destinations the Northern Territory is competing against.
Events already confirmed for the Northern Territory are not eligible.
Seed funding to run an event is outside the scope of the NTBESF.
Organisations who successfully apply to receive funding will be required to participate in delegate surveying if requested by NT Business Events.
Funded events will be required to provide information for a case study if requested by NT Business Events.
