Rebates for sheep and farmed goat producers to purchase electronic identification (eID) devices
Overview
Provides a rebate to South Australian sheep and farmed goat producers who purchase eligible NLIS-accredited electronic identification (eID) devices and tags.
The rebate is 25% of the purchase price up to a cap of 47.5 cents (GST exclusive) per tag.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open to South Australian sheep and goat producers who:
- have a current SA property identification code (PIC)
- have a business registered with the ATO as a primary production business, including livestock (sheep and/or farmed goats)
- have an active NLIS database account linked to their current SA producer PIC
- and hold an active Australian business number (ABN) and are registered for goods and services tax (GST)
Applications are for purchases of eligible NLIS-accredited tags not designated for the current year.
The rebate has been expanded to include all 8 colours in the NLIS year-of-birth (YOB) colour system for accredited eID tags.
