Funding for small businesses, not-for-profits and primary producers impacted by North and Far North Tropical Low
Grants to assist directly impacted Queensland primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement following the North and Far North Tropical Low (29 January - 28 February 2025).
To be eligible applicants must:
- hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and have held that ABN at the time of the disaster
- be located in the defined disaster area for the North and Far North Tropical Low (29 January - 28 February 2025) and have suffered direct damage as a result of the disaster
- be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed in the application
- intend to re-establish the undertaking in the same area
- have evidence of damage (e.g. photos, videos)
Additional specific requirements:
- primary producers must meet the Scheme definition of primary producer (includes sole traders, partnerships, companies or trusts that spend the majority of their labour on and derive or will derive a majority of income from a primary production enterprise)
- small business applicants must be a small business owner and have been engaged in carrying on the business when affected
Applicants must provide required documentation such as financial statements (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet), latest income tax return(s), rates notice or lease agreement, 5-10 photographs evidencing direct damage, evidence of payment (requirements differ by grant amount), and full details of any insurance and insurance claim outcomes.
Applicants should provide QRIDA Client ID if previously applied.
