Funding for small businesses, not-for-profits and primary producers impacted by Western Queensland surface trough and associated rainfall and flooding
Grants to help directly impacted Queensland primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations pay for clean-up, reinstatement and immediate resumption activities following the Western Queensland surface trough and associated rainfall and flooding that commenced 21 March 2025.
To be eligible you must:
- hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and have held that ABN at the time of the disaster
- be located in the defined disaster area for the Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and Flooding (commencing 21 March 2025) and have suffered direct damage as a result of the eligible disaster
- be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed in the application
- have been engaged in carrying on the primary production enterprise or small business when affected by the eligible disaster
- intend to re-establish the undertaking in the same area
Primary producer definition (as per guidelines) includes a sole trader who spends the majority of their labour on a primary production enterprise and derives or will derive the majority of income from it, or partnerships/companies/trusts where partners/shareholders/beneficiaries spend the majority of their labour on the enterprise.
Applicants must provide evidence of damage (e.g. photos).
