GO8093: Networking for Cancer Equity grant program
The Networking for Cancer Equity grant program supports innovative, collaborative models that strengthen networks and partnerships to improve access to comprehensive cancer care for people living in outer-metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote areas.
The aim of the program is to enhance equity in cancer care by activating the Australian Comprehensive Cancer Network (ACCN) and improving coordination between cancer services nationally.
This includes supporting care closer to home for people outside metropolitan areas, as well as priority populations identified in the Australian Cancer Plan, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The program funds partnerships between smaller health services and larger cancer services to build connectivity, share expertise, and deliver culturally safe, high-quality cancer care.
Successful applicants must be registered members of the ACCN and commit to the Standards of Excellence for networked comprehensive cancer care applicable to their service type.
Grants of up to $250,000 each will be awarded, with activities delivered between April 2026 and June 2027.
The program aligns with priority actions in the Australian Cancer Plan.
Applicants must be an outer metropolitan, regional, rural or remote cancer service; be a member of the Australian Comprehensive Cancer Network (ACCN); be able to form partnerships with at least one larger cancer service to deliver activities (with a letter of support for each partnership); have an Australian Business Number (ABN); be registered for the purposes of GST; be a permanent resident of Australia; have an account with an Australian financial institution; and be one of the specified entity types (company incorporated in Australia; company incorporated by guarantee; incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust; incorporated association; partnership; registered charity or not-for-profit organisation; or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006).
