Assistance and support for businesses affected by natural disasters

Overview

Disaster Assist provides assistance and support to businesses and individuals in Australia affected by natural disasters, delivered through the jointly funded Commonwealth–Territory Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).

Assistance includes the Disaster Recovery Payment (a one‑off recovery payment) and the Disaster Recovery Allowance (a short‑term income support payment).

Eligibility Criteria

Businesses and individuals affected by a natural disaster.

To receive funding, you must:

  • make a claim within the claiming period
  • be located in an area that has been named as eligible for assistance

Assistance is provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth‑Territory Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).
