Funding to develop solutions for market-led challenges using quantum technologies

This program provides consortia with funding to develop quantum technology solutions or components that address market-led challenges of national significance.

It offers Stage 1 Feasibility grants to test technical viability and, if successful, Stage 2 Demonstrator grants to build working prototypes or demonstrations.

Applicants must be consortia that include at least one Australian industry-based partner and one Australian research organisation.

Projects must develop quantum technology solutions or component(s) that contribute to solutions for market-led challenges of national significance, with priority challenge areas of biosecurity, energy, transport and First Nations health.

Solutions may also involve other advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics.

The Stage 1 Feasibility grant is to test and demonstrate technical viability; only applicants that complete a Stage 1 Feasibility project will be invited to submit an application for Stage 2 Demonstrator funding.
