Funding and resources for screen practitioners
Screen Australia Funding and Support provides screen practitioners with a range of funding programs and resources to support the development, production and marketing of Australian screen content, and to support the development of Australian talent and screen production businesses.
Programs are offered across multiple streams (feature films, television and online, documentaries, shorts, Indigenous, industry development, producer offset and co-production) and some programs are open to first-time or early-career filmmakers.
Individual applicants must:
- be an Australian citizen
- be an Australian resident who has lived in Australia, continuously or intermittently, for more than one half of the year immediately preceding their application
- not be the employee of a broadcaster or commissioning platform
- not be enrolled full-time in a film, television or interactive digital media course
- not be acting in the capacity of a trustee of a trust
Company applicants must:
- be incorporated and carrying on business in Australia, and have their central management and control in Australia
- not be a broadcaster
- not be a holding company or subsidiary of a broadcaster
- not be acting in the capacity of a trustee for a trust
