Funding and resources for Tasmanian screen practitioners
Screen Tasmania provides funding and resources to support the development, production and marketing of screen content made by Tasmanian screen practitioners.
Funding is offered through multiple programs and streams including project development, industry development, production investment, traineeships and attachments, games development and proof-of-concept production.
Application deadlines and available funding vary by individual program.
Individual applicant must:
- be an Australian citizen or Australian resident who has lived in Australia, continuously or intermittently, for more than one half of the year immediately preceding their application
- be at least 18 years of age
- be a professional in the industry, or be able to show evidence of a commitment to a professional career in the screen industry
- not be a full-time student
An applicant that is a company must:
- be incorporated and carrying on business in Australia, and have its central management and control in Australia
- not be a broadcaster
- be represented by a professional in the industry, or be able to show evidence of a commitment to a professional career in the screen industry
Non-Tasmanian and expatriate Tasmanians may be eligible to apply for some of Screen Tasmania's programs.
