Establishing BioMedTech Incubators
Grants to establish BioMedTech Incubators that provide financial assistance to support medical research and medical innovation projects by identifying, selecting and supporting Australian SMEs to progress early-stage medical research and innovation toward commercialisation.
You can apply if you:
- have an Australian business number (ABN)
- are incorporated in Australia
- and, in accordance with s24 of the MRFF Act 2015, are one of the following entities: a medical research institute, a university, a corporate Commonwealth entity, or a corporation (including businesses and not for profits)
You can partner with one or more other organisations that meet the eligibility criteria but must decide who the lead organisation is.
The lead organisation must fill out the application form and, if awarded, will sign the grant agreement, receive grant payments and be responsible for meeting the rules in the grant agreement and reporting requirements.
Project-specific requirements:
- evidence from your board (or chief executive officer or equivalent if there is no board) that the project is supported and that you can complete the project and meet the costs not covered by grant funding
- a list of up to 15 Chief Investigators (CIs) using the template on business.gov.au (max 15 CIs and none listed in more than one application submitted to this grant opportunity)
- a detailed project plan (max 12 pages)
- a detailed and itemised project budget
- a one-page statement of how your project will contribute to the Measures of Success for the MRFF
- a detailed risk management plan (max 2 pages)
- details of intellectual property (IP) arrangements (if applicable)
- letters of support from each project partner (if applicable)
- a trust deed (if applicable)
