Funding for community-based projects that directly address the spread of H5 bird flu in wildlife

Overview

Bird Flu Wildlife Resilience Grants WA provides funding for practical, community-led projects that reduce biosecurity risks, strengthen wildlife rehabilitation capacity, and protect vulnerable native species from H5 bird flu.

Small grants support licensed wildlife rehabilitators, while larger grants support strategic, longer-term wildlife management initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a current DBCA fauna possessing (other purposes) licence – rehabilitators and have appropriate insurances for project activities.

Proposed projects must be based in Western Australia.

Small grants are for licensed wildlife rehabilitators.

Large grants are for eligible organisations with a demonstrated track record in wildlife management.
