Grants for community initiatives in Kimba and Hawker (Wallerberdina Station), South Australia

Overview

The New Community Benefit Program provides grants to support projects that deliver social and economic outcomes in and around Kimba and Hawker (Wallerberdina Station) in South Australia.

The program makes $2 million available to each community ($4 million total) and funds projects that support communities during the site selection and establishment phases of the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible you must have an Australian business number (ABN).

You must also be one of the following entities:

  • a company, incorporated in Australia
  • an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust
  • a not-for-profit organisation, including community groups with voting and/or financial membership of at least 5 individuals
  • an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisation, council or incorporated association
  • The Flinders Ranges Council or the District Council of Kimba
  • the Outback Communities Authority

Joint applications are acceptable, provided you have a lead organisation who is the main driver of the project and is eligible to apply.
