Funding for NT businesses to install security measures

The Safer Business Grant provides Northern Territory businesses, including mobile businesses, with co-contribution funding for practical security improvements to commercial assets.

Funded works must address an identified security risk or safety issue and be completed within three months of receiving funding.

Applicants must be a Territory Enterprise (for-profit or not-for-profit), a landowner (landlord), or a body corporate under the Unit Titles Act (NT) 1975.

The business must own or lease premises or a mobile business in the NT, be fully compliant with relevant legal obligations, and not be an excluded recipient.

The applicant must hold legal rights to the eligible commercial asset.

Eligible assets include commercial premises used primarily to operate the business, or a vehicle, trailer, machine or similar asset used primarily to run the business and deliver its products or services.

Proposed works must address an identified security risk or safety issue, be practical and reasonable, support the purpose of the grant, and be capable of completion within three months of receiving funding.
