Funding for exploration of petroleum and geothermal resources in WA

Provides funding to support exploration of petroleum and geothermal resources in Western Australia through analysis/reprocessing of existing data and acquisition of greenfields geophysical data.

To be eligible, applicants must:

- be a legal entity that can enter a legally binding funding agreement with the WA government

- have an active Australian company number (ACN)

- be registered for goods and services tax (GST)

- hold either a Petroleum Title, Geothermal Title or Reservation Title including a petroleum or geothermal special prospecting authority.

Projects are eligible for funding must:

- not be retrospective

- be able to be completed in a 12-month period

- have given due consideration to the reliability of the business to complete and return all data and samples within the 12-month period

- be within the categories of either analysis of physical services, reprocessing or desktop and data studies.
