Support for innovative SMEs to commercialise and grow their business
Provides an Advisory Service connecting innovative startups and SMEs with an Industry Growth Program Adviser to develop commercialisation and growth priorities and options, and offers matched grant funding for projects to establish commercial viability or scale to market in NRF priority areas.
To apply for the Advisory Service you must:
- have a combined annual turnover of less than $20 million for each of the 3 financial years before lodging your application
- have an Australian business number (ABN)
- not be exempt from paying income tax
- be registered for GST
You must also be one of the following:
- a company incorporated in Australia
- a co-operative
- an incorporated trustee applying on behalf of a trust
You must have an innovative product, process or service that you intend to commercialise and/or grow in one or more of the NRF priority areas (value-add in resources; value-add in agriculture, forestry and fisheries; transport; medical science; renewables and low emissions technologies; defence capability; enabling capabilities).
To apply for a grant opportunity you must have received an Industry Growth Program Advisory Service report.
Applications must be completed by an authorised representative of the business and submitted through the online portal.
