GO8175: Community Child Care Fund Round 5
This grant opportunity is available to Child Care Subsidy (CCS) approved providers of approved child care services under the Family Assistance Law that meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
The CCCF Round 5 grants are for a grant period of up to 3 years.
The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to support: ECEC services providing care in under-served communities experiencing disadvantage or vulnerability to be able to address (or have increased capacity to address) community level barriers to child participation in early childhood services increased number of children from families and communities experiencing disadvantage or vulnerability accessing ECEC viability of ECEC services providing care to communities experiencing disadvantage, including in areas with fluctuating and/or low short-term demand.
The grant opportunity will provide funding for 2 key activity streams: Sustainability Support: helping eligible ECEC services improve the viability and financial sustainability of their service, including working with other organisations and families to identify and address community level barriers to early childhood participation.
Community level engagement must ultimately result in increased access and participation.
Capital Support: helping eligible ECEC services by contributing towards the cost of capital works, including repairing, modifying, renovating with a particular focus on child safety and compliance.
The application form asks for the Approved Provider Organisation ID and Approved Service Organisation ID which are unique alpha-numeric codes issued to organisations that have previously received grant funding, administered by the Community Grants Hub (the Hub).
To obtain your Approved Provider Organisation ID and Approved Service Organisation ID you must email the Hub on support@communitygrants.gov.au.
You must reference your Provider CCS Approval ID and Service CCS Approval ID in your email.
To be eligible an applicant must be an approved provider operating an approved child care service under the Family Assistance Law AND meet one or more of the location/service requirements:
- a Centre‑Based Day Care (CBDC) or Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) located in a CCCF Priority Area
- a Family Day Care (FDC) or In Home Care (IHC) servicing a CCCF Priority Area
- a CBDC or OSHC located in an Inner Regional, Outer Regional, Remote or Very Remote area
- a FDC or IHC servicing an Inner Regional, Outer Regional, Remote or Very Remote area
- or be providing specialised care services to a sector of the community experiencing disadvantage or vulnerability
Both for‑profit and not‑for‑profit providers may apply, but preference is given to not‑for‑profit providers.
Applications from consortia are acceptable provided the lead applicant and all members are eligible approved providers.
Additional activity‑specific eligibility/attachments are mandatory:
- for Sustainability Support: 2024–25 and 2025–26 year‑to‑date profit and loss statements and balance sheets (or 2025–26 YTD where service not operating full 2024–25) and a budget using the provided template
- for Capital Support: evidence of land/building ownership or owner permission, well‑developed independent third‑party quotes dated within 3 months (with trading name, ABN, GST‑exclusive itemisation), and a budget using the provided template
Capital applicants must outline co‑contribution (min 20% of requested funding) or grounds for relaxation/waiver and may be required to provide letters of support or evidence.
