Funding for businesses to relocate or expand into regional areas for research and development into locally sourced raw material supplies

Provides grants to help Australian trading corporations relocate or expand into regional Australia and partner with regional universities or research organisations to research and/or develop innovative and locally sourced raw material supplies.

Grants support activities such as establishing new suppliers or products and value adding to existing supplies.

Australian trading corporations who will relocate or expand to a regional area, conduct a research project and will have at least 10 full-equivalent employees at the new site.

Applicants must partner with a regional university or research organisation to undertake research into, and/or development of, innovative and locally sourced raw material supplies (including establishing new suppliers or products and value adding to existing known supplies).

Round 2 includes businesses located in regional areas that will expand to a different regional area to deliver on the program objectives.
