Grants to install Community Batteries

This grant supports organisations to install, connect and operate community batteries in specified eligible locations to store excess household solar energy, reduce pressure on the grid, lower electricity bills and reduce emissions.

Funding is available per eligible location and is calculated by battery storage capacity and eligible project expenditure.

This opportunity is for Distributed Network Service Providers (DNSPs) and other organisations.

It aims to install, connect and operate community batteries in certain locations listed in the grant opportunity guidelines.

Only one community battery can be installed in each location under this grant opportunity.

Applicants may apply for funding to install a community battery in more than one location but must submit a separate application for each location.
