Funding for QLD small business employers to help them retain employees
Overview
Provides a one-off payment to eligible Queensland small businesses to help retain an employee employed under a Back to Work agreement.
Funding can be used for activities that directly support retention, such as training, digital solutions and workplace fit outs.
Eligibility Criteria
Businesses can apply for one Small Business Support Pool payment per approved Back to Work agreement.
To be eligible the business must:
- have an active Back to Work Employer Incentive Payment and/or Youth Boost payment agreement for a current employee whose employment commenced on or before 2025-06-30
- have employed the Back to Work employee for at least 12 weeks
- employ less than 20 people
- and explain how the funding will help the business retain the Back to Work employee
The employee must have been employed under a Back to Work Employer Incentive Payment or Youth Boost payment agreement.
