Discounts for businesses for energy efficient products

Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) provides discounts to Victorian businesses on purchasing and installing approved energy-efficient products and services when those products/services are supplied through an accredited provider.

Discounts apply across a range of items (for example commercial and industrial lighting, solar panels, induction cooktops, hot water systems, heating and cooling, clothes dryers, shower heads, high efficiency motors, televisions and window glazing) and vary by product.

Businesses can receive discounts either via an accredited provider who applies an upfront discount or by engaging a qualified tradesperson partnered with an accredited provider to process the paperwork.

Applicants must be Victorian businesses.

At a minimum, you must buy and install approved energy-saving products and services from an accredited provider.

Choose an eligible upgrade listed with the Essential Services Commission.

Option 1: the VEU accredited provider provides an upfront discount and completes the installation of an approved product.

Some Victorian large energy consuming facilities are exempt from the program unless they opt-in; the Essential Services Commission maintains a register of addresses identifying facilities that cannot access incentives.
