Grants to improve critical air infrastructure
The Regional Airports Program – Round 4 provides grants to regional airports or aerodromes to enhance aviation safety, accessibility and climate resilience.
It funds essential works that improve safety, connectivity and support transition to net zero aviation technology for regional communities.
Owners and operators of airports or aerodromes in regional areas of Australia.
Grants will support works that improve the safety of aircraft, operators and passengers; facilitate delivery of essential goods and services such as food supplies, health care and passenger air services; improve connectivity to domestic and global market opportunities; meet operational requirements of aeromedical and other emergency services; and assist air services to transition to net zero aviation technology.
Grants range from $20,000 to $7.5 million.
Total funding pool for the round is up to $25 million.
Grant funding will be up to 50% of eligible project costs unless the applicant and a third party are both contributing, in which case the grant amount may be reduced to one third of eligible project costs.
