GO8282: Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) delivery of a Western Australia Freight Rail Feasibility Study
This grant opportunity will provide Australian Government grant funding of up to $2.5 million to support the Australian Rail Track Corporation Limited (ARTC) ABN 75 081 455 754 to work with the Western Australian (WA) Government to undertake due diligence and a feasibility study for bringing the WA freight rail network back into public ownership.
The study will consider how WA’s freight rail network can be integrated with the ARTC’s interstate network, including the potential for the Commonwealth to take direct control of the east-west rail line from Kalgoorlie to Fremantle.
Applications can only be made by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) (ABN 75 081 455 754).
To apply, ARTC must submit a grant application to the Department addressing these Grant Guidelines.
The application must outline how the eligibility criteria in the guidelines have been satisfied; outline the purpose of the study; provide a work plan of proposed project activities including key deliverables, budget, milestones and timeframes; include information on how the project meets the requirements for funding as a Transport Development and Innovation Project under Part 4 of the NLTA; and include all necessary attachments.
The Department will assess applications for eligibility against these requirements and may contact the applicant to correct or explain information if unintentional errors are identified.
