GO8346: Building Early Education Fund - Malangenna Children's Centre Grant Opportunity
The purpose of the grant opportunity is to support the delivery of the Malangenna Children’s Centre election commitment through the Building Fund.
On 28 April 2025, the Hon Anne Urquhart MP announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will invest up to $4 million to support the construction of a new building at the Malangenna Children’s Centre, which is operated by Devonport Child Care Centres Inc, in Devonport, Tasmania.
The expansion of the service is expected to more than double the number of places available and provide early learning and care for around 170 children.
To be eligible the applicant must:
- be Devonport Child Care Centres Inc ABN 41 030 619 747
- be registered for the purposes of GST
- have an account with an Australian financial institution
- not be included on the National Redress Schemes website list of institutions that have not joined or signified their intent to join the Scheme
- and have purchased the land for the proposed capital works located at Devonport, Tasmania and secured all necessary planning advice and approvals
Funding is for capital works only and must not be applied towards the land purchase or operational costs.
