Funding for TAS farmers for mediation costs
Overview
Provides a one-off payment to help Tasmanian farmers experiencing financial difficulties cover the costs of mediation services and related expenses to assist negotiation with creditors.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- be registered for tax purposes in Australia with a continuously active Australian business number (ABN) trading for at least 12 months (some exceptions may apply)
- be a farmer or a farm business with a farm debt that is entering mediation as provided for under the Farm Debt Mediation Act 2024
- be a legal entity
The program supports TAS farmers experiencing financial difficulties.
