Funding to attract non-Tasmanian screen productions to film in Tasmania
The Island Screen Incentive provides funding to attract non-Tasmanian screen productions to film in Tasmania, encouraging expenditure in the Tasmanian economy and supporting employment and skills development in the local screen industry.
It offers funding of up to $500,000 for eligible live-action feature films or series that meet the program's Tasmanian spend and location requirements.
Applications will be accepted from Australian companies that meet the criteria outlined in the General Guidelines and Terms of Trade.
Additionally, the project must:
- be a live action screen production
- be either factual (including documentary and reality) or scripted
- be a feature film (60-minute minimum) or a series with at least 30-minute episodes
- expend at least AUD $1.5 million as Tasmanian spend
- be substantially based in Tasmania (minimum 10 days’ filming)
- have marketplace attachment to secure public release
The program is for non-Tasmanian screen productions.
