Flood property assessments for property owners in NSW
Provides free, detailed building assessments for property owners in eligible NSW local government areas affected by the February–March 2022 and/or June–July 2022 floods.
The assessment includes a comprehensive scope of repair works and an estimate of repair costs; the program can also provide demolition at no cost if the owner chooses.
Assessment reports are provided only to the property owner and are not automatically shared with council, insurers or the public.
You are eligible to register if:
- the damaged building is one of the eligible building types (residential buildings where the residence has been affected by flood water; farm homesteads and rural buildings; buildings on commercial properties used for primary business operation including shops and tourism-related businesses owned by small businesses or primary producers)
- the building is located in one of the local government areas impacted by the flood events beginning in February (AGRN 1012) or June/July (AGRN 1025) 2022
- and the building was damaged by those flood events
Applicants must confirm property address, property type, that the property was affected by the February and/or June 2022 floods, and that the property is in one of the locations listed under AGRN 1012 or AGRN 1025.
