GO6172: Connected Beginnings Program

Overview

The objective of Connected Beginnings is to support the integration of early childhood, maternal and child health, and family support services with schools in a number of First Nations communities that are best placed to benefit so that children are well prepared for school.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible you must have received an invitation to apply from the department.

You must have an Australian Business Number (ABN), be registered for the purposes of GST, be a permanent resident of Australia, have an account with an Australian financial institution, and be one of the following entity types: a company incorporated in Australia, a company incorporated by guarantee, an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust, an incorporated association, a partnership, a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation, an Australian local government body, an Australian state or territory government body, or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006.

You cannot receive a grant if you receive funding from another government source for the same purpose.

For applications after 2020-07-01, applicants named in the Royal Commission or National Redress Scheme applications must meet specified National Redress Scheme participation requirements (including stated dates for joining and not having ceased participation).
