Funding for Tasmanian competition events
Overview
Provides funding to event organisers to run competitive sporting or gaming championships that bring competitors and supporters to Tasmania and encourage visitors to undertake further travel around the state.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must be organising an event/championship that:
- attracts more than 100 people from outside Tasmania who are likely to stay 3 nights or more in paid commercial accommodation
- and promotes pre- and post-championship holidays and regional touring in Tasmania
Applicants can be based anywhere in Australia, and must be able to enter into a funding agreement with the Tasmanian government.
Applications must be lodged at least 3 months prior to commencement of the event.
