GO8290: Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) 2025-26 - Support the sustainable establishment of a service delivery model
The purpose of the grant opportunity is to provide one-off, short term funding through to Gratis Home Care Pty Ltd (Gratis) to maintain critical services while establishing a service model to deliver culturally appropriate services to 93 Aboriginal Support at Home (SaH) participants.
It contributes to the achievement of the Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) Fund outcomes.
The DACS Fund is a component of the Ageing and Service Improvement Program under the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing’s Outcome 3 - Ageing and Aged Care, Program 3.3 Aged Care Quality.
The DACS Fund aims to better support activities that respond to existing and emerging challenges including dementia care, better support services targeting people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and support special measures for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The department also makes provisions under the DACS Fund for ad-hoc emergency grant proposals which are essential to the health, safety, and wellbeing of care recipients where there is risk to the continued delivery of aged care services to older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The objectives of the grant opportunity is to increase critical services while establishing a sustainable service model to deliver culturally appropriate services The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity is to restore access to essential services and address the impacts of market failure in the region and the breakdown in continuity of care under the previous provider.
