GO8183: Palliative Care Capability in Aged Care

Overview

This grant opportunity represents a long-standing commitment by the Australian Government to enhance palliative care services for aged care recipients by ensuring aged care providers and healthcare practitioners have access to expert advice on palliative care and advance care planning.

The funding supports innovative services that strengthen collaboration between aged care, healthcare practitioners and specialist palliative care providers, improving the quality and coordination of care.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible the applicant must be one of the specified entity types: Indigenous Corporation (under the Corporations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006), Company, Corporate Commonwealth Entity, Non-Corporate Commonwealth Statutory Authority, Corporate State or Territory Entity, Non-corporate State or Territory Entity, Non-corporate State or Territory Statutory Authority, Local Government, Cooperative, Incorporated Association, or Statutory Entity.

If applying as a Trustee on behalf of a Trust, the Trustee must be an eligible entity type.

Consortium applications are encouraged provided there is a lead organisation that is solely accountable to the Commonwealth and is an eligible entity.

Applicants must deliver activities nationally and will be required to meet required qualifications/registration and checks for relevant personnel if successful (see key requirements).
