Funding for general practices to improve their service
Overview
The Practice Incentives Program (PIP) provides funding to general practices to help them continuously improve, provide quality care, enhance capacity and improve access and health outcomes for patients.
Payments are available for a range of quality care activities and to individual health professionals.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PIP your practice must:
- be a general practice as defined by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)
- be an open practice as defined by the PIP
- be accredited, or registered for accreditation, against the RACGP Standards for general practices (the Standards)
- have public liability insurance cover
- have professional indemnity insurance cover for all general practitioners and nurse practitioners

Incentives vary.
