GO8509: Destination Australia Cheung Kong Exchange Program 2027 (Round 6)

This Grant Opportunity is for the Destination Australia Cheung Kong Exchange Program 2027 (DACKEP Round 6).

The Department of Education invites Australian universities to apply for funding under DACKEP Round 6.

This grant opportunity is available by invitation only to eligible Australian universities.

Grant funding totalling $1.3 million is available for Round 6 and will be distributed equally among all universities that submit a successful application.

If every invited university submits a successful application, each will receive approximately $31,700.

DACKEP is a joint funding initiative of the Australian Government and the Cheung Kong Group.

The program aims to strengthen partnerships between Australian universities and their counterparts across Asia while providing students with the benefits of an international study experience.

Applicants must be one of the 41 invited Australian universities listed in section 4.0 of the guidelines, which are Table A or Table B universities under the Higher Education Support Act 2003.

They must hold registration on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), and have an agreement with a foreign university in a specified Asian country that enables eligible short-term mobility opportunities, or otherwise confirm a plan to implement such an agreement before student departure.

Applicants should have demand for student mobility opportunities in one or more eligible Asian countries and capacity to deliver mobility scholarship opportunities by 30 April 2028.
