Financial incentives for NSW businesses to improve their energy efficiency
The Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) provides financial incentives for NSW businesses to install new equipment or modify existing systems to reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency.
Work must be undertaken in conjunction with a government-approved supplier (Accredited Certificate Provider, ACP) who will assist with the process and the incentive claim.
To be eligible, your business must be located in NSW.
Any work undertaken under the scheme must be done in conjunction with a government‑approved supplier (Accredited Certificate Provider, ACP).
If you are a small or medium business with energy usage of less than 100 MWh per year you may be eligible for household incentives (explicitly noted).
Customers are advised to review consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law and the IPART website for up-to-date accreditation, auditing and compliance information.
